Bath and Body Works Happy Daisy Splash
Awww, who remembers this? I love everything about the B&BW products from this era--the cartoony logos, the fun scents, the raised "bubbles" on the splash bottles that made them look like a pickle. As for the "Happy Daisy" scent? It was a floral (duh!), and I believe it was a special scent during the spring of 2000 or 2001. Happy Daisy was one of my favorite discontinued Bath and Body Works scents.
I actually still own this, though the picture was taken for eBay. I took the picture, then decided to keep it. Unfortunatly, the "Happy Daisy" scent turned to smelling like rubbing alcohol because it's so old. :(

Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Grapefruit Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Best. Scrub. EVER. It's a shame this was discontinued so quickly. Everyone I know who tried this sugar scrub absolutely LOVED it. The bitterness of grapefruit combined with the refreshing zing of the peppermint made it the perfect scent for a scrub. And these BBW Aromatherapy scrubs were SCRUBBY. They weren't for the weak. These suckers could stripy our skin down to the bone if you scrubbed hard enough.

Bath and Body Works Sassy Strawberry Mint Lotion
Speaking of the Temptations line, I think this had to be the worst scent BBW ever bestowed upon us. Sassy Strawberry Mint was a nauseating smell that reminded me of Penicillin. The bottle looked like Pepto-Bismol and the product smelled like medicine. It couldn't even be the passable, edible cherry or grape-flavored medicine. It was the kind of medicine that tried to pass itself off as "bubble gum flavored."
That, my friends, is what this shit smelled like. Not surprisingly, Sassy Strawberry Mint was not a big seller and found itself stacked high upon the 75% off tables at the Jan. 2008 and June 2008 Semi-Annual Sale.
Bath and Body Works Dreamy Chocolate Mint 3-in-1
I totally miss the Temptations line. I love "foodie" scents and the Dreamy Chocolate Mint, which came out for the Holiday 2007 season, was a very anticipated scent. Unfortunatly, when I sniffed it at the store, it had a plasticy kind of smell, instead of the chocolatey-mint goodness I was expecting. However, I still bought it (because, I HAD. TO. HAVE. ALL. TEMPTATIONS. EVEN. IF. I. HATED. THE. SCENT) and used it up.
Using this in the shower wasn't pretty. The brown chocolately color looked gross on my loofa and when you would later it up, it looked like chocolate froth. Which isn't bad, if you're drinking a mocha. But kind of weird if you're taking a shower.
I loved colors of the bottle and the cute design. Any memories of Bath & Body Works Dreamy Chocolate Mint 3n1 you'd like to share?

Bath and Body Works Gingerbread House Oil Burner
Bath and Body Works Gingerbread House Oil Burner; Christmas 2006 |
This gingerbread house oil warmer is Bath and Body Works' Holiday 2006 line. It came in a kit that included this oil burner, two tea lights, a Twisted Peppermint fragrance oil and a Spicy Gingerbread fragrance oil.
Apparently they weren't flying off the shevles because at the Semi Annual Sale that followed, these ceramic contraptions filled entire TABLES at most Bath and Body Works stores. They went 50% off, then 75%, and finally 90% off. It was only at the 90% off price point that these things moved. Some stores opened up the kits to sell the home fragrance oils separately (Twisted Peppermint was a hot commodity in 2006!).
I really think this is cute. In fact, I still use mine.
Bath and Body Works Original Honeysuckle Lotion
Bath and Body Works Original Honeysuckle lotion gave me a headache. |
You can still find the original Honeysuckle lotion at the Semi Annual Sale on occasion. Typically, it's in a 75% off bin. Or, you can try to find it at a real Bath & Body Works Outlet store.
In 2007, Bath and Body Works introduced its Wild Honeysuckle lotion, which was nothing like this puppy.
